We cater for events of all sizes – from 10 people to 120! Both our locations offer fantastic spaces which you can really make your own! Life is stressful enough – let us take the hassle out of organizing your event: We can help you sort out anything from balloons and table decorations to sound and lighting equipment to custom designed drinks and menu options. Should you need it, our team is on hand to lend a little creative inspiration too!

Venue In The City

At 623 in the City we have two spaces perfect for events.

Al Fresco Events: A sunny outside seating area complete with outdoor TV, shaded areas for sunny Nelson days and heaters for those colder evenings. Seating Capacity: up to 80 People. Standing: up to 120 People

Private Mezzanine: This upstairs area is perfect for any function. The flexible space offers plenty of options with big screen and sound system already in place to meet most audio-visual needs. Seating capacity: up to 50 people. Standing: up to 70 people

Catering Options: We can do just about anything you can think of:... nibbles/canapés, buffet, table service with set menus from 1 course to 3 courses… or even just drinks or cake!

Facilities: Private function includes personal waitress and barman with dedicated bar

Extras Available: Cake, Balloons, Decorations and anything else required!

Venue On The Rocks

At 623 in the City we have lots of options for events spaces perfect for events - a great, modern private function area and a bright, luxurious restaurant space.

Al Fresco Events: There’s a spacious and relaxed space for sunny outside dining right across the road from beautiful Tahunanui Beach, complete with outdoor TV, shaded areas for hot Nelson days and heaters for those colder evenings. Seating Capacity: up to 70 people. Standing: up to 90 people.

Private Function Area: This bright and modern indoor area is perfect for any function. The flexible space offers plenty of options with its own entrance, separate from the main restaurant and seating capacity for up to 25, standing for 50+ people.

Relaxed Restaurant Area: For slightly larger events, you can take over our back restaurant area which comfortably seats 40, or why not pack out the whole place with seating for up to 100 people in our luxurious, modern restaurant. We’re nice and flexible here, so if you have a specific idea of how you want your event laid out, just give us a call to discuss and we’ll do our level best to accommodate your needs.
